J'ai beaucoup de secrets mais ma pudeur n'en est un pour personne. En réalité, j''entretiens d'autres passions que celle de m'épancher sur les détails de ma vie, alors souvent je m'abstiens de tout bavardage soporifique. (Une façade que je considère souvent comme un vilain défaut.)
Pourtant, certains détails méritent de voir le jour pour être partagés, commentés, puis orientés.
Pour tout vous dire, je me marie dans 8 petits mois et parce que je réalise maintenant combien le mariage s'apparente à un événement de taille auquel on donne minutieusement forme , au quotidien, j'ai envie dès aujourd'hui de partager avec vous mes inspirations, mes choix, mes doutes, et j'espère, de pouvoir les confronter à vos avis, votre ressenti, tout au long de ce compte à rebours déjà bien avancé.

I keep a lot of secrets though my discretion is not one of them. In fact, I do not like to talk about my private life details. Maybe it is a flaw.
That is why I think some details are to be said and to be shared and commented.
I am gonna be married in 8 months and I think it would be good if I share my inspirations, my choices, my doubts with you and if I listen to your opinions during all that months before THE day. I hope you will be in!

Racontez-nousvotre collaboration avec Etam et la création de votre collectionpour la marque ?

Noustravaillons en étroite collaboration avec Etam. Je commence parprésenter mes idées et mes croquis que les stylistes de la marquematérialisent en vrais dessins techniques. Ensuite ils m'aident àdéfinir les matières et les couleurs que je recherche. Parfois ilsme proposent aussi d'autres idées qu'ils ont élaborées de leurcôté et que je peux réutiliser si elles me plaisent. Enfin nousorganisons au moins quatre essayages pour finaliser les modèles.

Howdo you collaborate with Etam ? How do you create your Etamcollection ?

Iwork very closely with the Etam team. First I draw things, then thebrand turns it into a profesional drawing and we present the idea tothe design team. Then they help me to find what I am Iooking for, thekind of fabrics and colors I'm thinking about. Sometimes they alsopropose to me other new researches that I can use if I like it. Thenwe do four or five fittings on the model to see how everything fitsand looks together.

Pensez-vouslancer un jour votre propre marque ?

Jen'y pense absolument pas. Je ne me vois pas devenir créatrice, c'estune activité à plein temps ! Aujourd'hui j'ai d'autrespriorités comme mes enfants et mon association (Naked Heart) quidemandent aussi beaucoup de temps. J'ai aussi des contrats et desobligations auxquelles je dois répondre donc je ne pense vraimentpas lancer ma propre marque. Cela demande trop d'implication et je netrouve pas ça très drôle de faire des affaires, je ne m'en senspas capable.

Afterbeing designer for Etam, would you like to launch your own brand ?

Idon't have such ideas. I don't see myself becoming a designer, it isa full-time job! Today my priorities are my three children and mycharity (Naked Heart Foundation) that already takes a lot of time andI also have other contracts and obligations, so right now I definitelywould never do my own brand. There is so much work involved andaccording to me this is not really fun, anymore, because there is abusiness part that I can not afford.

Quelest le moment le plus excitant dans le processus de création ?

C'esttoujours très excitant de voir les premiers prototypes. Il ne fautpas être trop exigeant et expliquer aux modélistesce que l'on recherche vraiment parcequ'il y a toujours des corrections à apporter. Mais c'est trèssatisfaisant de voir le modèle qu'on a imaginé.

Whatis the most exciting part for a designer ?

Tosee the first prototypes is always very exciting. There is not somuch expectations to be done because you always have to correct itand make people understand what you want but they always end up toget it. It is very satisfying when you discover the product how youimagined it.

Quel conseil mode donneriez-vous aux femmes aujourd'hui ?

D'un point de vue général, je pense que le seul vrai conseil est de rester soi-même, de trouver son propre style, de suivre raisonnablement les tendances pour les mixer aux pièces que l'on adore et pour redonner un sens à celles que l'on ne porte plus. Il faut choisir des pièces qui nous mettent à l'aise et que l'on aime, non pas pour seul prétexte qu'elles sont tendance. Le total look tendance est un peu cliché selon moi.

Is there a fashion advice that you would give today to women ?

In general I think the only real advice is to be yourself, to find your own style, to follow trends but not so much so as to pair it with something that you love and you are wearing for years or on the contrary a piece that you are finding again and that you did not wear for years.

The advice is also to wear items that make you cool, not just because it is trendy but because you like it. Wearing only recognizable items is a little bit cliché for me...

Comment définissez-vous votre style ?

Mon style est toujours très féminin. Après j'aime tellement de créateurs... Je suis typiquement le genre de fille qui porte n'importe quoi, tant que cela reste féminin.

How would you describe your personal style ?

It is always very feminine but I like so much designers... I am the typical kind of model that can wear anything if it is feminine.

Quelle est votre philosophie en matière de beauté ?

Je crois qu’il faut laisser faire les choses. L’important est de se sentir bien, rester en bonne santé, manger sain et faire du sport. Ce sont des généralités mais il faut aussi se sentir bien quand on s’habille ou quand on se maquille, et ne pas se laisser influencer par les autres mais s'écouter soi-même. Je n'aime pas avoir trop de maquillage par exemple, c'est bien pour les défilés mais en temps normal je préfère mettre le minimum. J'essaie toujours de rester aussi naturelle que possible, physiquement mais aussi dans l'attitude.

What is your beauty philosophy ?

I believe in leting things go. In my opinion it is very important to feel good and stay healthy, to eat well, make exercise, all the general things that people do. But the most important is to really feel good when you are dressing or when you put make-up on and not to listen to people. You have to do it yourself.

For my part I can stand a lot of make-up on my skin, it is ok for fashion shows but I can not every day. I pefer to put the minimum. I always try to be as natural as possible, in beauty but also in behaviour.

Que pensez-vous des blogs mode ?

Je ne connais pas bien les blogs mode, je ne les lis pas mais comme j'évolue toujours au beau milieu du monde de la mode... Je trouve fascinant que vous puissiez livrer des informations plus vite que les journaux. C'est génial pour les marques, pour la création... Et il faut reconnaître à quel point les blogs ont pris de l'ampleur. Internet me fascine et m'intéresse tellement, on y trouve toutes les réponses dans tous les domaines, la politique, les affaires, la sphère personnelle...

What do you think about fashion blogs ?

I don't really know fashion blogs, I don't read it but maybe I don't need it because I am in the middle of fashion. I think it is fascinating that you deliver fashion news faster than newspapers. Its i great for brands, for industry... And we have to recognize how much it is important today. I am fascinated by Internet and I am very interested in it, you can find many answers for everything, for politic, for business, for personal life.

Avez-vous un rêve que vous n'auriez pas encore accompli en mode ?

J'aimerais avoir plus de temps pour collaborer avec des créateurs et des stylistes incroyables que j'admire. J'aimerais apprendre davantage aussi, pas uniquement en tant que mannequin mais en m’immergeant plus au coeur de la mode. J'ai collaboré à l'édition d'un magazine un jour, j'ai beaucoup aimé, je le referais bien.

Do you dream about something that you never did in fashion ?

I would love to have more time to work with people that I admire, with incredible designers and stylists. And I would like to learn more, not just like a model but to be more inside. I edited a magazine once, it was very cool, I would love to do it again.

Où avez-vous puisé l'inspiration pour cette nouvelle collection Etam ?

Peut-être dans le livre d'Inès de La Fressange (La Parisienne). J'aime sa façon de raconter la Parisienne et elle m'a inspirée dans le choix des détails de la collection. J'ai essayé d'aller au plus simple, comme devrait l'être notre dressing d'ailleurs. Je crois que la collection est très parisienne.

What did inspire you the most to create this new Etam collection ?

Maybe reading the Inès de La Fressange book (La Parisienne). I love what she says about the Parisian woman and she inspired me to choose good details in a very simple way, as our closet should be I guess. I think the new collection is very parisian.

Que pensez-vous de Paris ?

J'adore Paris, c'est la ville que je préfère au monde. C'est la plus belle ville pour moi et celle où je suis sûre que je pourrais vivre heureuse. J'ai vécu à Paris il y a longtemps et je viens d'acheter un petit appartement. J'avais besoin de me sentir chez moi quand je viens ici, comme avant.

What do you think about Paris ?

I love Paris, it is my favourite city in the world. It is the most beautiful city and the only one I could live in happily. I am sure. I lived here long time ago and I bought a small apartment two years ago in Paris because I wanted to feel at home when I come here, like I used to.

S'il est un avantage en hiver, c'est de pouvoir facilement marier les matières. Comme (à ma grande joie) le cuir est de toutes les saisons, je crois que je pourrais le porter jour et nuit (façon de parler) associé à de la laine, des sequins, de la soie, de la dentelle et même du vieux coton...

Winter has at least an advantage for us : to easily mix different materials. Leather is my favourite at the moment, I could wear it day and night with wool, lace, silk, sequins or shabby cotton...

J'apprends depuis peu à m'approprier des pièces classiques et épurées, dans l'idée de les associer à volonté et pour m'en lasser moins vite avec les années. En résumé, je substitue la singularité et les couleurs vitaminées au minimalisme et aux teintes incontournables. Mais comme rien n'est immuable et qu'on se laisse toujours porter par un sursaut égaré d'excentricité, l'exception persiste quand je tombe sur cet ovni de jupe voilée...

I try to buy classic clothes today to wear it easily with many other ones and to keep them longer. In brief I prefer minimalism and sober colours rather than originality and bright shades. But of course nothing is definitive and we always need a little bit of eccentricity, that is why I can not resist when I see this kind of so special skirt...

Hello I'm 2 years old

Deuxannées. C'est à peu de chose près le temps qu'il m'avait fallu pour lancer un jour : « et pourquoi pas "Fashion isa Playground" ? ». C'est aujourd'hui l'âge du blog.

Etmalgré tout ce que l'on crie, dévoile ou chuchote aujourd'hui surla blogosphère et ses fondements, je ne regrette absolument pas.

Deuxans, dira-t-on, ce n'est pas grand chose sur la toile, mais celareprésente assez pour multiplier sourires, belles rencontres, jolismots, rendez-vous, découvertes et quelques milliers de photos.

Si2011 a été pour moi une année riche en rebondissements et projetspersonnels, j'espère que 2012 sera aussi intense, sinon plus, et quele temps qui m'est imparti me permettra de partager avec voustoujours plus de jolies choses. Je le souhaite sincèrement etj'espère vous trouver au rendez-vous.

Asa result, the blog is two-year-old today.

Inspite of what people say today about the blogs and its foundations, Ido not regret at all.

C'est étrange comme les fêtes changent de saveur d'une année à l'autre. Si en 2011, je me laisse gagner par l'impatience, c'est peut-être parce j'ai aimé grandir et évoluer ces douze derniers mois. Sentiment pourtant rarissime. Ce fut une fin d'année assez riche pour moi, en émotions comme en termes d'agenda, mais je suis heureuse d'être là pour vous souhaiter un joyeux Noël, toujours au même endroit.

Bordeaux, lie-de-vin, grenat, pourpre... La grimace que j'esquissais voulait tout dire. Et puis l'hiver s'installant gentiment, avec le manque d'inspiration de saison, on change, on s'ouvre et on s'achète un jean lie-de-vin.

I totally hated that kind of colour. I grimaced when I saw burgundy, wine-red, dark red or crimson. But since winter is here, I changed my mind, I'm more open minded and I bought wine-red jeans.

Deux mois, c'est la durée moyenne de sevrage entre deux voyages. Chaque jour une nouvelle destination ajoute un peu de rêve à la longue liste de mes souhaits. Un passeport. Un tampon. Une autre page.

Acheter un manteau pendant les présentations des collections printemps-été 2012 (plutôt réussies avec une mention toute spéciale pour Claudie Pierlot) n'arrange rien et rend ce mois de novembre d'autant plus frustrant. Il ne nous reste plus qu'à patienter sagement, en repensant à toutes ces prochaines coupes et matières légères effleurées à longueur de journée...

Sur ce, bon week-end !

I'd like to travel again, yet. I think it would be good to go away every other month, the perfect rhythm. Every day I find a new destination whom I would see the stamp on my passport. Discovering the next spring-summer collections during winter doesn't help.

Il y a des matins comme ça, où l'on préfère sortir à plat. Simple question d'humeur, d'aisance, de décence, évidemment - jupe oblige - et surtout, question d'inspiration. Les mocassins ne seront peut-être pas LES chaussures de l'hiver, mais ils m'enthousiasment bien plus que n'importe quel stiletto.

Sometimes I know I have to wear flat shoes. It's a matter of mood, ease, decency (above all with a skirt) and inspiration. Maybe loafers are not part of leading trends, but it inspire me more than any heels.

Je ne suis jamais allée patauger à Glastonbury, à ma grande tristesse, mais j'aurais au moins relevé le défi de porter des bottes de pluie à Paris. Un défi aussi lancé à Kenza et Virginie par Le Chameau. Je recommencerai, bien sûr, en variant les looks à l'infini...

I never went to Glastonbury to flounder in the mud, but I can say now I wore wellies in Paris street just like Kenza and Virginie. I will wear it again for sure, changing my outfits endlessly.

L'avenir appartient à ceux qui se lèvent tôt, paraît-il. J'aime me lever tard. Si bien que je me laisse rarement la chance de voir le soleil se lever au petit matin, quand Paris nous appartient. Alors, face à cette paresse assumée, je me convaincs naturellement que c'est pour mieux me délecter de ces moments privilégiés.

The early bird catches the worm, so it seems. And I love getting up late. So I rarely give me a chance to see the sunrise in the early hours, when Paris belongs to us. But just because those moments are unusual, we appreciate it better.

Parce que je peine généralement à trouver mon bonheur au rayon pantalons, je me rabats sur le jean, slim de préférence. Reste alors à jouer avec les couleurs et les matières. Le vieux rose est un bon début, non ?

Vosmots m'avaient touchée sur le post précédent, j'ai donc décidéde réitérer. Je n'imaginais pas que la Mongolie comptait à telpoint parmi ces destinations rêvées. De mon côté, j'en ai surtoutpris conscience sur place. J'ai réalisé qu'au delà du fantasme, labeauté du pays et de ses habitants reposait sur leur simplicité.L'idée peut paraître fade, mais elle prend tout son sens lorsquel'on évolue dans une civilisation comme la nôtre qui a perdu de sonhumanité.
Quelques jours durant, j'ai oublié la Mode pour ungros pull en laine, un vieux jean et des chaussures de randonnée. Unbol de thé au lait salé et une cuillère de crème sur du painbrioché suffisaient à égayer une journée. Le retour àl'essentiel, la rencontre de l'Autre et de soi-même, tout ça resteéphémère.
Maisquand la réalité nous rattrape, il est salvateur de se convaincrequ'on pourra toujours se perdre dans ses souvenirs et y revenir.

PS1 : vous avez été nombreux à me demander certaines précisions surce voyage, je me ferai un plaisir de vous éclairer encore.

PS2 : après une parenthèse lyonnaise, desretrouvailles et deux semaines bien remplies, je serai réellement deretour lundi !

Yourcomments touched me on the last post about Mongolia, that's why Idecided to make a new one. I did not expected that Mongolia was sucha dreamy country. And I realised how much it was when I arrivedthere. I discovered that the beauty of Mogolia and Mongolian peoplewere just based on its simplicity. Maybe it seems ordinary to saythat but it counts when you live in a totally different country witha totally different culture. I think our countries lost some of itshumanity.

WhenI was in Mongolia, I forgot Fashion and just wore a wool sweater, oldjeans and hiking shoes. I forgot french pastries and loved salty milktea and sweet natural cream on a peace of bread. This is a realreturn to essential.

Ofcourse it is fleeting and reality catches us again. But I'm so happy tofeel free to remember the experience when I will need it.

La mode n'est évidemment pas une priorité en Mongolie. Mais j'ai été touchée par l'esthétisme des tenues traditionnelles encore portées, à la campagne comme en ville.

Fashion is obviously not a priority in Mongolia. However I really appreciated the estheticism of the traditional costumes. The ones that people keeps wearing in town or in the countryside.

Derrière la vitre de notre van russe, les paysages défilent mais ne se ressemblent pas.

En Mongolie, chaque kilomètre est une promesse. Une couleur, un mouton perdu sur l'asphalte, une fleur, une yourte, une rencontre. La piste à perte de vue -la terre, le ciel et le soleil pour veiller sur nous- on se perd parfois, mais un sentiment rassurant persiste, celui d'appartenir à une immensité encore pure et qui expire l'humilité.

A Pékin, les matins sont gris avant que le voile de pollution ne lève son rideau et ne soulage la ville de quelques degrés.

Ecru-rose-noir. Un trio de couleurs qui m'évoque une certaine silhouette Isabel Marant de l'été, à l'heure où celles de l'année prochaine se préparent en douce à défiler. Déjà. Comme si en mode, les saisons filaient à une allure toujours plus folle. Parfois, pour une silhouette, on aimerait bien les prolonger.

Le souvenir de cette image est encore tiède. Si la lumière déclinait, Paris était encore en pleine effervescence ce soir-là ; la circulation chauffait encore le pavé, le défilé de bateaux-mouches agitait toujours la Seine. Autour de cette vieille dame, le monde continuait à tourner. Alors je me suis arrêtée.

I remember so well when we took this picture. The sun was going down and Paris was still in a ferment. The cars were still running and the taxi boats operating on the Seine. The Earth kept spinning around, around this lonely old woman. I decided to stop.

J'avais oublié combien le retour aux sources pouvait nourrir, enrichir et inspirer en été. Des moments d'euphorie, de détente absolue, des heures à table, à papoter, des événements à fêter, les souvenirs que l'on se crée, quelques vieilles photos dépoussiérées, la vraie vie en somme.

Paradis des pasteis de nata, de Lisbonne je retiendrai la douceur de vivre, le fuchsia des bougainvilliers, le bleu des Azulejos, le linge au vent qui décorent les fenêtres, les ruelles pavées de l'Alfama, les effluves attirantes de poisson frais et l'infinité de ses façades colorées.
